This time, the Femnova team visited one of the most talked-about bakeries and cafés in Surabaya: Drool. Known for its viral pastries, salt bread, and aesthetic drinks, we decided to try some of their best-selling menu items and rank everything we ordered.
Here’s our honest review.
1. Salt Bread — 10/10 ⭐
Our number one favorite.
Sometimes simple is best, and Drool's Salt Bread proves exactly that. The bread is soft, buttery, slightly salty, and perfectly baked. The texture is light yet satisfying, making it incredibly addictive.
If you're visiting Drool for the first time, this is the one item you absolutely need to order.

2. Boston Cream Salt Bread — 10/10 ⭐
A close favorite.
Imagine everything we love about the original salt bread, but filled with a rich and creamy Boston cream filling. The balance between the buttery bread and sweet custard center works surprisingly well.
This one is indulgent without being overly sweet.

3. Hazelnut Ferrero Donut — 9/10 🍩
Chocolate lovers will enjoy this one.
The Hazelnut Ferrero Donut is soft, fluffy, and filled with a rich hazelnut chocolate flavor that reminds us of Ferrero Rocher. It feels decadent and satisfying, especially when paired with coffee or matcha.

4. Pink Cold Matcha — 8.9/10 🍵
One of the prettiest drinks we tried.
The Pink Cold Matcha combines earthy matcha with a fruity pink layer, creating a refreshing and visually appealing drink. The flavor is balanced, although we personally wished the matcha taste was slightly stronger.
Still, it's definitely worth ordering for both the taste and presentation.

Creamy, smooth, and comforting.
Drool's Japanese Flan Caramel offers a silky texture with a rich caramel flavor. It's not overly sweet and makes for a great dessert after enjoying their pastries.

6. Spicy Korean Chicken 🍗
For those who prefer savory dishes.
The Spicy Korean Chicken delivers a nice balance of sweetness, spice, and crunch. While the pastries remain the star of the show, this menu item is a good choice if you're looking for something more filling.

While every item we tried was enjoyable, the Salt Bread and Boston Cream Salt Bread completely stole the show. If you're planning your first visit, those are the two menu items we would recommend ordering immediately.
